Lake Conroe

 

If it’s lakeside resort living you’re considering, the picturesque shores of Lake Conroe, just north of The Woodlands, offer a wide range of possibilities. Lake Conroe is a 21,000 acre lake with a total of 157 miles of shoreline. Neighborhoods such as Bentwater, April Sound and Walden offer country clubs, yacht clubs, marina's and golf courses. Many neighborhoods offer trails, parks, racquet clubs, spa & fitness facilities and much more.

There are several public marina's and boat storage/ramp facilities around the lake, including April Plaza Marina, Waterpoint Marina and Safe Harbor Marina in Walden. You can find more public access points to the lake at the Texas Parks and Wildlife public access page, since the northern portion of the lake is in the Sam Houston National Forest.

 

Depending on the location around the lake, families living here are served by highly-rated Montgomery, Conroe and Willis school districts.
